Analysis of the Sites Providing Reproductive Health Information and Services for Designing a Website to Promote Childbearing: A Qualitative Content Analysis

Abstract

Background & aim: Providing the information needs of couples in an easy and low-cost manner plays a fundamental role in the health of the family, and this will play a significant role in promoting childbearing. This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing related websites to design a website to promote childbearing.
Methods: All relevant websites were searched in Google, Yahoo and Bing search engines with the keywords "pregnancy, childbirth, childbearing, website" between August and February 1401, and 85 websites were included in the study, and finally 40 The website was analyzed with the content analysis approach, using Maxqda software.
Results: By analyzing the websites, 486 codes were extracted. All the codes were divided into two main classes called structural pattern and content pattern. In the structure category, more familiarity with the site with 5.5%, and in the content category, content related to pregnancy and childbirth with 33.1% and effective factors with fertility with 10.6%, family with 10.2% and women's health with 8.02% are the most content on the web. The sites were assigned to themselves.
Conclusion: The themes identified in the websites dealt with most aspects of fertility, but there are very few themes regarding the promotion of childbearing. The use of the mentioned themes can be a suitable model in the construction of a website in the field of pregnancy and childbirth, but there is a need to produce more content regarding the promotion of childbearing.
